When the date for our 41st Class Reunion and Picnic came we were blessed with a beautiful day; clear skies, no humidity and temperature in the low 80's.  The long awaited picnic started a little before 2:00 PM and everyone was quickly enjoying the day’s festivities.  We had rented a tent for protection from the weather but it turned out the weather was gorgeous!  The tent was decorated with balloons and lights and all the tables were decorated with etched glass centerpieces.  For our listening pleasure, our favorite sixties music played throughout the day.  After everyone had arrived we enjoyed a few games and sampled the appetizers, fruit salad and snacks until the meal was ready to be served at 4:00 PM.  Mooreheads Catering served us a feast of Barbecued Chicken, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Corn on the Cob, Deviled Eggs and Cake.  There was much more than anyone could eat and it all was delicious!  And did I mention that the weather was fabulous?  Sodas, ice tea, lemonade and coffee were provided and quite a few brought along some special beverages to go with their meal.  After the meal everyone mingled, reminisced and reconnected with old friends.  Gathering around the memorabilia table, we shared memories from our past and talked about the various paths our lives have taken since graduation.  Time passed all too quickly and before we knew it the festivities had continued well into the evening.  Sadly, even good days must come to an end and eventually we all had to say our farewells until the next time.

All in all, I think everyone had a good time and of course… the weather was
perfect!
