Hurricane Sandy

Hi guys,

We rode out the storm here in Longport and we thank God for sparing us.  It was pretty scary. Our home is O.K. We lost our outer dock and fish station and everything stored under the house, but considering there were 24 houses at the end of the island that were obliterated we feel extremely lucky.  They just announced that people can come onto the island but will be extending curfew from 6 to 6.  We have so much clean-up to do that we will be busy for weeks. Unfortunately we will not be able to make it to the reunion. I am soo disappointed. My best wishes to everyone. Hope you have a great time.

Sue Wilds (Wanner)

Stan & Lori Sarnocinski

Hope everyone made it through the Sandy hurricane this past week. 14 hrs no power, but no damage to house all trees fell away from house into the woods. Hope to see you all this weekend. God Bless.

Stan Sarnocinski
Hello From Sunny Phoenix
Sorry to hear about Sandy. Hope everyone is well. We have been in Arizona since college except for five year respite in Minnesota and Colorado. We are living the American Dream with four grown kids, two dogs and each other. Kathy and I unfortunately will not be able to attend the reunion this year but look forward to future possibilities. Thanks and good luck with the reunion. Take lots of pictures. Here's a picture of our adult kids, Steven, Zach, Amanda and Cory.

 Ron and Kathy Smith

Darn Sandy!

I hope hurricane Sandy doesn't affect too many of your plans to attend the reunion this weekend.  Jim, so sorry to hear that you & Sharon will not be able to make it.  It would be great if you could share a photo or 2 with us.

Last call for any others who aren't able to attend or attending who haven't shared pictures.  Please email photos to me @ leahrambo@yahoo.com.  I still have time to include them in our CTHS1967 slideshow.

Thanks, take care everyone & hope to see many of you this weekend,

Leah

Sandy Beach!

Sharon and I were planning to leave this morning to drive back for the reunion. Our plan was to spend time with classmates, college friends, and family. Sandy has intervened to cause our best laid plans to fall apart. We will not be coming back. Thanks to you, Dawn, and the Reunion Committee for your efforts. I hope you all weathered the storm. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and we hope to see you at the 50th. Take care and God Bless.

Girls just wanna have fun!

Hello classmates,

My husband, Tom , and I had the pleasure of Margee spending a couple days with us. The weather was great and it was wonderful to reconnect with Margee and meet Sofie. Two summers ago Tom Levernier visited us for a couple days as well. He enjoyed is first boating adventure and we so enjoyed his company. Unfortunately, I am unable to join the group in November. I sure wish I could. However, no time off work is allowed as it is National Adoption month I will be extremely busy. I do look forward to seeing pics posted. Have a GREAT time.

Best wished to all

Reunion

Hi, I had a mini reunion this year with Dawn Curtis!  What a blast we had.  Am including a pic of us at St. John's Pass near where she lives on the West Coast of Florida.  With us is her Granddaughter Marina (who I fell in love with!) and my companion, Sofie.

Hope you guys have a great time there in Pa with your reunion.  I'll look forward to new pictures when you get a chance to post them.

I'm living in Missouri right next to my sister Gail's home.  Actually, it's attached.  You remember Gail....she was the 2 year old in our Senior class play!  I moved up here in 2007 wtih mother in tow because she could no longer live by herself.  So Gail and I took care of her for two years until we had to place her in a nursing home.  She was there two years before she passed last year.

So since family is here, I didn't see any reason to move back to sunny Florida, although I do miss the weather (except of course for the hurricanes).  I am happily retired with no particular schedule.  Whew, I'm glad that's over!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been working diligently for a couple of years on researching family history.  That's a great hobby.  And Gail and I are in Pet Pals, which allows us to take our dogs to nursing homes and hospitals to visit with the sick and elderly.  We both enjoy that activity quite a bit.

I am on Facebook as Marguerite McGee if anyone wants to 'friend' me.  Have a great time.  Margee

PERFECT DAY FOR A PICNIC

I had a great time seeing everyone and catching up with where they are living and what they are doing now. It seemed like everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a job well done, perfect weather, very enjoyable and casual atmosphere and I think we should do this again.

THANKS to all the committee members for a great day.

I noticed that about Stan, too.  Maybe that's why he's known as "Stan the Man."  Here's one more to add to the "Stan Collection."  It sure was great seeing everyone.  The day went by too quickly!

Hello Classmates!

Lovin' the photo's and comments. Keep 'em comin'. Unfortunately I will not be attending the reunion. REALLY bummed about it. As of July 1 a new child welfare agency begins a new contract, thus the employees that are being offered positions with that agency are considered new hires, with a 90 day probationary period. The good news is I keep my job, bads news no vacation time by August. Please take plenty of photo's and post them. I sure am going to miss strolling down memory lane with my classmates and having the opportunity to you all. Have a wonderful time. A big ((hug)) to each and everyone.

Class of '66 applauds you!!

Great job, Greg, on getting this going and to the rest of you for coming back to the site OFTEN.  You can see all 6 years of your "SENIOR" friends of the class of 1966 by going to www.cthsclassof66.info ... your link is there and you can see photos of what the OLD school looked like. For our 40th, we had a chance to revisit the building.

Best wishes to all, especially the Skippack gang!!!  Stan the Man, I have a photo of you when we were on the A's together at Little League - Sarnosinski, Jakabowski, Malonoski, Banachowski, BROWN ... how'd I get in there??

Was it Burger?  I remember she was painfully shy.  I often wonder what happened to her.

Sally

O.K., Who can identify the girl between Tom & Greg.  I'll give you a clue--Emma__________.  First one with an answer wins a prize.  Hey, this is fun... Let's see some Collegeville-Trappe Elementary pictures!!  Bring 'em on!!!

5th Grade Pic

Hi Tom,

I completely forgot about Bill Robinson.  He was the only person in our class that was almost as tall as me.  I don't know why I remembered Bonnie Friday, I usually have enough trouble remembering my own name.  Anyway, no apologies for being in front of me.  If memory serves me, I wasn't any prize in the 5th grade.

Sally Kimmich
5th Grade Pic.

Yeah Sally, that's Bonnie Friday (why, pray tell do we remember that?)  And the chap peeping out on your left between you and Bob Cassel is Bill Robinson.  My most humble apologies for  blocking you with my ugly mug.

Is the missing girl Bonnie Friday?  Was there a Bonnie Friday?  For some reason that name popped into my head.

Sally
Where's Waldo? (I mean Tom, Sid, Sally, etc.?)

This photo is compliments of Tom Levernier, I believe 5th grade at Skippack Elementary.  Our teacher was Mrs. Borkey (sp.?)--the bird lady!  Thanks Tom, that bring back great memories.  To the best of my knowledge, as follows:

1st row - Bob Rhoads, Clarence Yost, Nancy McClure, Suzanne Hare, Rita Kratz, Linda Dilworth.

2nd - Robin Righter, Loretta Righter, Ron Wisler, John Kurgan, (?), Karl Woodland, Linda Hales, Pat Zeigler.

3rd - Jane Jervis, Valerie Woodring, Randy McElroy, Sid Fretz, Tom Levernier, (?), Greg Cope, Leah Schlosser.

back - Lee Brader, Sally Kimmich, Bob Cassel, Mrs. Borkey
